Farm Projects
See what is happening on the farm now, new spaces and projects in progress!

the Totem pole
A beautiful 30 foot cedar log was added to the farm earlier this year and is now being carved on site by master carver Gerry Sheena into a totem pole. We cannot wait to see it completed, and to offer learning programs that share its stories with visitors and schools!

the Beaver land
We’re currently transforming the back of the farm into the Beaver Land, a small wetland learning area inspired by the beavers. This space will help visitors explore how beavers shape the land, create habitats, and support biodiversity across the ecosystem.
the Native Garden
We’re growing a new Native Garden filled with local plants that support bees and other pollinators. This space helps restore native habitat and gives students a hands-on way to learn about biodiversity, pollination, and how native plants strengthen our food system.

Event highlights
This year marked a special milestone as we opened the farm to the public for the first time. From Family Day at the Farm to Petting Zoo Day, we welcomed thousands of visitors for free community events filled with learning, laughter, and connection.
First hosted in 2021, our Sukkot celebrations bring the community together to visit the sukkah, share meals, and enjoy live music and kids crafts. This year (2025), we've increased the number of participants to 300!
Throughout the years, we’ve hosted gatherings that bring people together to learn, share, and celebrate. These visits strengthen our connections and remind us how the farm brings everyone together.
We've brought teaching frames into schools, hosted guided hive explorations on site, and now, we run hands-on summer camp days that blend science, craft, and tasting. Guided by our beekeeper, the children explored the hives, made bee-friendly crafts, and enjoyed a sweet honey tasting.
We were extremely honoured to welcome community leaders, including Langley MP Tako Van Popta, the BC Native Bee Society, and educators, for guided tours and conversations. Without their support, we could not keep improving hands on stations, teacher resources, and student experiences.
Schools have always been a big part of our story. We offer different programs, including a 12 station interactive program, seed saving, harvesting, pollinator and animal learning, and more. Each visit connects classroom lessons with real life farming and is tailored to grade level and season.
