At Stable Harvest Farm, we’re dedicated to enhancing the connection between our community and sustainable agriculture by providing access to local, organic produce through our weekly Farmer’s Market.
Join us in promoting sustainable farming practices, engaging with our community, and making a positive impact on local food security. Directions: Enter off 216 St, and park in the back parking lot. All Community Volunteering will meet at the Post Harvest Barn. Please try and arrive promptly, as instructions and tasks for volunteering with be given at the beginning of the volunteer day!
Volunteer opportunities
School Visits
Date: April 29, 2024 to October 31, 2024 (Monday to Friday)
Time: 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM and 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM
Do you enjoy nurturing children and teaching them? Join us at Education garden where kids from various schools visit us and learn about how farming is done through our stations that teach different aspects of the process.
Volunteer duties: Hosting and engaging children on agriculture-related topics at assigned stations.
Farmer's Market
We are now closed for the season..
Date: Every Saturday until end of season.
Time: 9 AM to 2 PM
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about local agriculture, improve your customer service skills, and directly contribute to food security in our region. At Stable Harvest Farm, we’re dedicated to enhancing the connection between our community and sustainable agriculture by providing access to local, organic produce through our weekly Farmer’s Market.
Volunteer duties: Setting up and packing down stalls, assisting customers and engaging the community on the importance of local, organic produce.
Food Preservation Program
Date: Monday to Sunday
Time: 9 AM to 5 PM
Inviting all culinary artists and food enthusiast! We are seeking volunteers to assist us in the preservation and storage of organic foods. By participating in this Program, you will be playing an essential role in reducing food wastage and contributing to a sustainable future.
Volunteer duties: Cutting, freezing, and packaging foods. There may be opportunities to cook or bake on occasion as well.
