The farm comes alive when students step onto the land
Bring classroom learnings to life!
At Stable Harvest Farm, students don’t just learn about food — they experience it. Our field trips give students the opportunity to plant seeds, harvest vegetables, explore the soil, and discover the journey of food from farm to table all while learning how sustainable farming supports healthier communities!
We are now accepting field trip applications for Spring 2026, April 27 through June 24. Programs are only available for grades 2 to 7.
What To Expect
Hello
A WARM WELCOME
When your class arrives, our team will greet you with a short welcome and overview of the day. We’ll divide students into small, guided groups to keep the experience personal and hands-on.
INTERACTIVE STATIONS and Programs
Students will rotate through 12 hands-on stations, exploring soil, pollinators, greenhouses, beehives, and more. We also offer seasonal focused programs, such as seed saving, honey extraction, and harvesting. Each activity is hands-on, engaging, and aligned with BC Curriculum themes.
MEET THE ANIMALS
After exploring our educational gardens, students will meet our friendly farm animals. They’ll get to learn about and interact with kittens, chickens, goats, alpacas, pigs, and lambs, an experience that’s always a highlight of the day!
REFLECT & REMEMBER
We wrap up each visit with a short reflection and group discussion, helping students connect their farm experience to classroom learning and everyday life. As a sweet reminder, every student will take home a jar of honey from the farm! Teachers can also find additional post-visit activities on our Teacher Resources page.
